Joann Hoffman founded Hoffman Clark + Associates to assist non-profits and NGO's in mobilizing evaluation data to enhance organizational learning. Joann's public health and evaluation experience spans 20 years from agricultural fields and migrant health clinics to urban multicultural preschools. Joann did her undergraduate degree in biology and anthropology at the University of California, and her Master's degree in Public Health at Loma Linda University. She conducted her doctoral research at Cambridge University in the UK and received her PhD degree in Human and Organization Systems from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara. Joann founded a tech company Game on Data Inc. committed assisting non for profits to adopt or develop digital technology to solve problems. She recently returned from a Post Doctoral Fellowship sponsored by Fielding's Institute for Social Innovation. Her research was centered on NGO Data Sharing and Social Networks in Ulan Baatar, Mongolia.  She is committed to supporting community change through collaborative inquiry.

Kim Clark partnered to create Hoffman Clark + Associates with the shared vision of helping communities through evaluation. He is the co-author of Positive Prevention, an HIV prevention curriculum provided by the Red Cross. . Kim's current passion is hiking the entire John Muir trail.

Carl Lee McKinney is a senior research associate at Hoffman Clark. He is a scholar, researcher, and data scientist whose work spans diverse fields but focuses on the development of social technologies for facilitating the collection, analysis, visualization, and sharing of data. Carl has a BA in literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MA and PhD in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Communication at UCSD, and is also co-founder of Outside/In, a tech startup that designs data technologies for the Internet of Things.
