Innovative Strategies
HCA worked with a local health partnership to update it's countywide Strategic Plan for Suicide Prevention. HCA worked with key partners to analyze assessment data into services silos which aligned with National and State Suicide Prevention research and recommendations. The resulting model and subsequent evaluation plan contributed to a robust Strategic Plan which partners could use to address this growing public health issue. See full report below.

Data DashboardsQuality improvement measurement can be challenging. HCA worked with a large after school grant to gather all quality improvement data, make it visible and thus actionable through Tableau. Their data was portrayed in a Data Story which was summarized in an interactive Quality Dashboard. Stakeholders could get the overview and drill down for more detail and change in each standard over time.
Community Engagement
Community Engagement is an annual commitment for the Behavioral Health Services Department of San Diego County. HCA partnered to focus on creating a positive future thus uncovering innovative solutions to the most challenging social issues. Using World Cafe and Tableau data results were made visually engaging and transparent to the public for future use. Systems change perspectives were built into recommendations based upon System network analysis of a large data set of stakeholder needs.
